============================

This directory contains 4 subdirectories:

 * Mixer Details/
     - this contains three Java programs for listing various Mixer information

 * MikeRecorder/
     - this contains a simple Java audio recorder

 * Beamforming/
     - a non-GUI example of Laurent Calmes sound localizer

 * Spoken Kinect Breakout/
     - another version of the speech recognition enhanced Breakout
       game for the Kinect; this time it obtians its audio from the
       Kinect's microphone array

Note: the first three directories do not require OpenNI or the Microsoft SDK
audio driver to be installed. They will work with any PC microphone.

----------------------------
Before Starting:

You need to download the Microsoft SDK for the Kinect
(http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/kinectforwindows/develop/overview.aspx)
and install its audio driver alongside the OpenNI drivers for the camera and motor.

How to do this, and test it is working is explained in the first two
sections of the online chapter.
